Game On Mobile Video Game Lounge Client FAQ.

Game On Mobile Vintage Video Game Lounge Client FAQ

Everything You Need to Know Before You Book Welcome! We are so excited to bring the Game On lounge to your event. To make setup smooth and your party stress-free, please read through this FAQ before booking. If you don't see your question answered here, just reach out and we'll be happy to help.

About Game On What is Game On? Game On is a mobile vintage video game lounge built inside a beautifully restored Boles Aero travel trailer. We bring the trailer to you, hook it up, and leave you with an air-conditioned, fully loaded retro gaming experience for your event. Think classic consoles, vintage games, comfortable seating, and an immersive throwback vibe – all parked in your driveway.

What is included with the rental? Each rental includes the fully outfitted trailer with our curated lineup of vintage consoles and games, displays, controllers, and lounge seating. Specific consoles and game titles are listed on your booking confirmation. How many people can play and hang out at once? The trailer is designed as an intimate lounge experience. Players rotate in and out, so it's ideal for parties of roughly 10–20 guests at a time, with a smaller number actively gaming inside. Larger events are absolutely welcome – we just recommend pairing the lounge with outdoor seating, food, or other activities so guests can flow in and out.

Is it appropriate for kids? Absolutely. Our game library is curated to be family-friendly, and the trailer is a hit at birthday parties for kids and teens. For younger children, we ask that a parent or designated adult be onsite to supervise inside the trailer at all times – see the Supervision section below.

Can adults book it too? Yes! Game On is just as popular for adult birthdays, anniversaries, corporate events, holiday parties, neighborhood get-togethers, and bachelor/bachelorette parties. Nostalgia hits hard – trust us.

Site & Setup Requirements These are the most important questions to think through before booking, because they determine whether we can safely get the trailer to your location and set it up. If you have any doubts, send us photos of your driveway and we'll happily review.

How much space do I need for the trailer? Our Boles Aero trailer is approximately 27 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 9 feet tall. Once you add our tow vehicle to the equation, you should plan for roughly 50 feet of straight, drivable space to park, level, and unhitch. A standard residential driveway, a flat side yard with vehicle access, a cul-de-sac, or a parking lot all work great. We do not back the trailer into tight, sloped, or obstructed spaces.

What is the height clearance limit? The trailer stands about 9 feet tall. Please make sure the path we'll drive in on is clear of:

• Low-hanging tree branches

• Power, cable, or phone lines hanging below 10 feet

• Garage door overhangs, awnings, archways, or pergolas

• Low gates or fencing tops A safe rule of thumb: if a moving truck wouldn't fit, the Boles Aero won't either.

What about width and turn-in clearance? We need a path at least 10 feet wide to safely maneuver the trailer in. Watch out for narrow gates, mailboxes, parked cars, decorative rocks, sprinkler heads, and tight corners. If your street is narrow or has a tight HOA-style turn into your driveway, please let us know in advance.

Does the ground need to be flat? Yes. The trailer must be parked on flat, stable ground so we can level and stabilize it before you use it. A small slope is usually workable thanks to leveling blocks, but steep driveways, soft grass, sand, gravel pits, or muddy yards are not safe parking surfaces. If you're unsure whether your spot qualifies, snap a photo and send it over before booking.

Can the trailer go on grass or dirt? Sometimes – it depends on how firm and level the ground is and how recent any rain has been. Soft or wet ground risks the trailer sinking or shifting. We always recommend a paved driveway, parking pad, or hard-packed surface as the first choice.

Do I need a permit? If the trailer will be parked on your private property (driveway, yard, parking lot you control), you typically do not need a permit. If you'd like the trailer on a public street, in an HOA-controlled common area, or at a public park, you are responsible for checking your city, HOA, or venue rules and obtaining any necessary permission before your event date. We recommend confirming this at least two weeks in advance.

POWER

What kind of power does the trailer need? You have three options, and any of them work – just let us know which to plan for:

• Standard household power (110/120v): We can plug the trailer into a regular outdoor outlet and run lights, screens, consoles, and sound. In this configuration the heater and air conditioning cannot run, since those require more power than a standard outlet provides.

• 30-amp or 220v RV-style hookup: If you have an RV outlet (or can arrange one), we can run everything including heat and AC.

• Generator: If you don't have any outdoor power – or you do and still want AC/heat – you can rent a generator. Please select that from one of our Ad-Ons at checkout.

Can I run an extension cord from inside the house? Yes, with the right cord. We use an outdoor-rated, heavy-gauge extension cord to reach the closest exterior outlet. Please make sure the outlet you plan to use is on a working circuit and isn't already loaded up with other appliances.

What if it's hot or cold outside? If you want heat or air conditioning during the rental, you'll need either a 30-amp/220v RV hookup or a generator. On a 110v household connection we can keep the trailer comfortable in mild weather, but on a 95°F summer day or a 35°F winter night, you'll want the AC or heater running – plan accordingly.

THE DAY OF EVENT

Will someone from Game On stay at the event? No – and that's by design. We drop the trailer off, set it up, level and stabilize it, hook up power, walk you through everything, and then we leave. You don't have to host us, feed us, or manage extra people on site. When the rental ends, we come back to pick it up.

How long does setup take? Plan for about 30–45 minutes for arrival, parking, leveling, power hookup, and a quick walkthrough with you. We typically arrive 1–2 hours before your event start time so everything is ready when guests arrive.

When does the rental clock start and stop? Your booked rental window is the time guests can use the trailer – not the time we're driving in. Setup and teardown happen on either side of that window and are included in your rate.

Can I keep the trailer overnight or for multiple days? Yes, multi-day bookings are available and often a great value for weekend events. Overnight rentals require a secure, well-lit parking spot. Reach out for multi-day pricing.

Do we need a grown-up inside while kids are playing? Yes. For any event with guests under 18, a designated adult must be present on-site (and ideally inside or just outside the trailer) for the duration of the rental. The trailer is a self contained space, and a responsible adult helps keep the gear, the guests, and the experience all in good shape.

Are food and drinks allowed inside? We ask that food and drinks stay outside the trailer. The seating, screens, and vintage consoles are not easily replaceable, and one spilled juice box can do real damage. Set up a snack table just outside the door and guests can pop in and out.

Are shoes okay? Yes, shoes are fine. We just ask that guests wipe off mud, sand, or anything that could track in. We give the trailer a deep clean between every booking.

Are pets allowed inside the trailer? We love animals, but for the sake of allergies and the upholstery, pets are not allowed inside the trailer.

Is smoking or vaping allowed? No. The trailer is strictly non-smoking and non-vaping (this includes cannabis). Smoke odors are extremely difficult to remove from vintage interiors, and a violation will result in a cleaning/restoration fee charged to the deposit.

Is there a bathroom in the trailer? The trailer is set up as a gaming lounge, not a camper, so there is no working bathroom inside. Please make sure guests have access to your home, the venue's, or a portable restroom for longer events.

Do you need Wi-Fi? Nope. All games are local and self-contained – no internet required.

BOOKING, PAYMENT & CANCELLATIONS

How do I book? Reach out with your event date, location, and rough guest count. We'll confirm availability, send you a quote, and reserve your date with a deposit. Final payment is due before we roll out on event day.

How far in advance should I book? Weekends fill up fast. We recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks ahead, and even earlier for holidays and prime party weekends.

What is the deposit? A deposit is required to lock in your date. The deposit amount and remaining balance are listed on your booking confirmation.

What is your cancellation policy? Cancellations made more than 7 days before your event date are eligible for a refund of your deposit (minus any non-refundable processing fees). Cancellations made within 7 days of your event forfeit the entire deposit, since we've already turned away other bookings for that date.

What if I need to reschedule? We'll always do our best to move you to another available date. Reschedule requests made more than 7 days out can typically transfer the deposit to the new date. Inside 7 days, rescheduling is treated the same as a cancellation.

What if the weather is bad? Light rain or chilly weather is no problem – the trailer is fully enclosed, climate-controlled (with the right power setup), and a cozy place to be. We will only cancel for genuinely unsafe conditions like high winds, severe storms, or icy roads. In those cases we'll work with you to reschedule.

DAMAGE, SAFETY & LIABILITY

What if something gets damaged? Normal wear and tear is on us. Damage caused by misuse, spills, smoking, or rowdy behavior is the renter's responsibility, and repair or replacement costs are charged against the deposit (and beyond, if needed). A signed rental agreement covers the specifics.

What if a console or controller stops working during the event? We test every console before each event, and once in a while one of them needs a moment. We are reachable by phone the entire rental window. In the rare case something can't be fixed quickly, we'll swap in a backup or compensate fairly.

Is there a rental agreement to sign? Yes. Before your event, we'll send a short rental agreement covering supervision, damage, cancellation, and basic safety. It needs to be signed by the adult on the booking before drop-off.

Are you insured? Yes, Game On San Diego carries business liability insurance. A certificate of insurance can be provided on request for venues or HOAs that need one.

QUICK PRE-BOOKING CHECKLIST

Before you book, please confirm the following so we can avoid any surprises on event day:

• I have at least 50 feet of straight, drivable, level space to park the trailer.

• The path in is at least 10 feet wide and free of low branches or wires under 10 feet.

• I know which power option I'll use (110v outlet, RV/220v hookup, or generator).

• If under-18 guests will be present, a designated adult will supervise on-site.

• I've confirmed any HOA, venue, or city requirements for parking the trailer.

• I've reviewed the cancellation policy and the 7-day deposit window.

Still Have Questions? We'd rather answer one extra question now than have a surprise on event day. Send us a message anytime – photos of your driveway and a quick description of your event are the fastest way to get a clear yes/no on logistics. Thanks, and we can't wait to bring Game On to your event!
